– Company’s Commercialized and Novel Separation Technology Receives Recognition –

Beatrice, NE, November 16, 2017 – Rare Earth Salts (“RES” or the “Company”), a leading materials technology company, today provided a summary of recent acknowledgement.

On October 17, 2017 RES’ partner, Battelle, announced an award from the United States Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory of about $875,000 for the two organizations to recover high purity rare earth elements from coal fly ash using RES’ novel separations process and Battelle’s acid digestion process to produce saleable rare earth oxides.

On November 2, 2017 Rare Earth Salts was selected as the Southeast Nebraska “Innovator of the Year” by the Nebraska Diplomats. The Nebraska Diplomats are a group that travels the globe representing Nebraska, its people and businesses and help foster the growth of the great state of Nebraska. Southeast Nebraska includes the metropolitan regions of Omaha, and Lincoln, Nebraska.

“We are honored to receive these awards and are grateful to U.S. Department of Energy and The Nebraska Diplomats,” said Cameron Davies, Chief Executive Officer of RES. ““The recognition is a testament to the passion and commitment that our founder, Dr. Joseph Brewer, and his team have shown in developing and commercializing our disruptive rare earth separation technology.”

RES began commercial production of rare earth oxides at its Nebraska-based facility earlier this year using its proprietary, environmentally friendly, and cost efficient separation technology. The Company recycles its manufacturing inputs so virtually no waste is created, making RES the most sustainable producer of rare earth oxides globally.
